Form Tutor Reviews
'It was really fantastic to hear how my child was settling into all aspects of school life. I feel confident that they are well-supported and that any issues would be communicated to me quickly. Thank you!'
Year 7 Parent
Every student at St Albans Girls' School is placed in a Form Group with a Form Tutor(s) who sees them every day. Therefore, Form Tutor Reviews are an invaluable opportunity to meet with the member of staff who sees your child the most and can give you an update on all aspects of their school life.
Form Tutor Review takes place online in the spring term for all students. It is a superb opportunity for a mid-year review of how your child is progressing socially and emotionally - any issues that arise can be addressed quickly and effectively following this consultation.
Parents will be informed that the day is approaching and sent information in order to make an appointment for a virtual meeting. The meeting is 5 minutes long to enable form teachers to speak to every child in their form. This is also an opportunity for our SEND Team to meet with families about bespoke ongoing support.
Form Tutors will have general information about academic progress, attendance, and SEND needs. If you have any queries/concerns about individual subject areas, then it is best to contact the teacher or curriculum leader individually via email. Any queries raised on this day will be followed up by relevant staff as part of our robust parental communication system.
