Parents and Carers
At St Albans Girls' School we see the partnership with parents and carers as key in ensuring the best possible school experience and outcomes for all our students
We enjoy seeing parents and carers at all school parents and information evenings, sporting, art and music events, building close relationships and links during the time your child studies with us. We very much value the support we receive from parents and carers in ensuring that students are in school every day, on time, well dressed and equipped for their day of learning. In turn we hope you'll agree that we work hard to provide a happy, challenging and active learning environment for your child. At the heart of our STAGS school community is a powerful partnership between home and school. We believe that open, consistent communication is key to ensuring your child thrives academically, socially, and emotionally during their time with us. We very much value the support we receive from parents and carers in ensuring that students are in school every day, on time, well dressed and equipped for their day of learning.
The safety of your child whilst they are on our site is paramount. Students are expected to be in school from 8.30am - 3.10pm. However the site is open from 7.45am - 4.30pm so that they can use the Library Resource Centre and attend extra-curricular activities. Students must be either in the LRC, Home Learning Club (C2) or at an extra-curricular club at these times. There is no general supervision for students after 3.10pm and the school can not accept responsibility for them after this time, unless they are taking part in a supervised club or activity. Any student waiting to be collected by a parent or carer after 3.10pm or 4.30pm must wait in the Restaurant or Main Reception.
